The Commercial Photographers Network were asked “Is it possible to photograph 178 locations around the UK in 7 weeks? The answer was a simple YES and the job was delivered before the deadline!
The Commercial Photographers Network (CPN) would like to take you back to 2016 and revisit a brief, which was never documented in the form of a blog. Our original CPN member from Bristol, Lindsay Fowke, was contacted by a very well known Dental Practice Oasis Dental Care, which in the last year has become part of Bupa.

We were asked, would it be possible for the CPN to co-ordinate and photograph 178 practices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland within a tight timeframe. The brief was to photograph a selection of exterior and interiorss, showcasing the building and signage, surgeries, waiting rooms and reception areas. On top of this they needed it to be conducted in office hours with no staff or public in the images!

In this particular project, our Bristol CPN member, Lindsay Fowke had the idea of visiting and photographing three locations beforehand to make sure the client was happy with the style and approach. These notes were then passed on to all the members of the CPN, giving peace of mind to the client that there was continuity throughout the 178 locations.
On this particular project, the advantages for using the CPN were that they saved endless time searching and communicating with numerous photographers around the country. We took everything off the client’s hands and co-ordinated the whole shoot for them. This meant that they only had to deal with one person and receive one invoice. This also meant the client saved time and money.
