This was an assignment to produce a selection of images for William Gray Construction and the supplier of the cladding product for their portfolios of projects.
The building was designed to be in the shape of a leaping salmon so I felt that photographing it from a height would help promote the concept of the architect. The elevated image was shot from a six metre pole using a small Sony camera remotely controlled by my iPhone. The other exterior image from ground level was shot using a wide angle perspective control lens to keep all the vertical lines in the image, true and square.

Whenever I shoot with the pole, its amazing how many people crack the joke “That’s a big selfie stick” but when you’re only 5’ 6½” tall you need all the help you can get in this job!

Photoshoot location: Falls of Shin, Sutherland, Scotland
Photography Job type: Exterior & Interior Architecture
The final interior shot was an exposure blend from several different frames as the contrast between the sunlight coming through the windows and the rest of the room was too great to capture in one frame.
