In 2008, 14 commercial photographers met in Birmingham to discuss the possibility of joining forces to form a national network of photographers covering the whole of the UK.
The idea was the brainchild of commercial photographer Richard Campbell, who noticed that many of the companies booking him to do shoots in Glasgow were also searching for photographers in other parts of the UK. This was something they found time consuming and they were often a little unsure about working with photographers for the first time. What if there was a co-ordinated network of photographers spread through Scotland, England, Wales and Northen Ireland, who all had the same levels of experience?

After some discussion on the merits of forming a network or agency, everyone agreed it was a great idea and the Commercial Photographers Network (CPN) was born. Since then the CPN has gone from strength to strength, building long term relationships with a variety of clients. This has ranged from advertising, architectural and commercial photography to corporate, editorial, press and PR.

The CPN undertakes projects of all sizes; the largest to date being for NatWest Bank and RBS. We produced the photography for entire wall installations for more than 400 branch refits across the UK. At the time it was one of the largest programmes of its type in the world. You can read more about this project here.
