I’ve been busy shooting lots of products for my client’s website and magazine.
They also have full page advertisements in national papers each week.
I’ve set up a commercial product photography studio on location and the staff there unpack and repack each product that I photograph. Each product gets at least 6 shots – different angles, close-ups plus hand shots.

We have a basic lighting setup with one main light on a boom and a fill, making sure the products are lit evenly, with no reflections. The product shots are cut out by Natalia, my retoucher, creating PNG files, ready for the client to use on their website and magazines.

I wish I had a pound for every time a tiny piece of polystyrene gets missed on a product! Oh well, Natalia, with her eagle eyes, sorts it out in post production.
