The Raining’s Stairs development reinvigorated an important and long vacant ‘problem’ site in Inverness, providing a building of significant architectural quality with transformational benefits to the community.

Visiting the site thirty times during the construction, Ewen documented the project including photographing key people on the site at the start right through to architectural photography of the finished project. Having this number of professional images allowed the client to produce a commemorative book and the images were used in an award winning submission for the 2019 Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.

Employing a professional commercial photographer to do this type of work offers a neutral point of view on a particular project, allowing different creative angles to be captured with specialised lenses and the imagination to see viewpoints that others don’t.
