Space and People manufacture display stands for a variety of clients. They were looking for commercial photographers to do case studies of their retail display stands at various locations around the UK. The only problem was finding photographers around the county to do this for them.
As well as the display stand inside the train station, Graham and to get shots of the exterior to put the whole case study in context.
When they came across the Commercial Photographers Network their problem was solved as we were able to provide a them with a co-ordinated network of photographers at various locations around the country.
The first location where they needed some case study photography, was in the retail area of Birmingham’s newly redeveloped Central Station. Creative commercial photographer and CPN member Graham Oakes, was commissioned to photograph a display stand of the new Lexus 4×4 Hybrid in the train station.
The client wanted images which showed the stand in context with its surroundings.
Space and People wanted a wide range of shots, including the venue, the stand, crowds of shoppers, and members of the public engaging with the sales team, as well as the car itself.
From his wide experience as a commercial photographer, Graham chose the busiest part of the day to make sure there were plenty of interactions to capture. He also used a range of imaginative viewpoints and angles to help tell the story of the day The client was delighted with the final photographs, which were widely shared on social media and on the company’s website.
A well thought out creative image which communicates some of the central themes of the case study.
