When renowned national waste management company, Biffa, were looking for a commercial photographer in the North East of England, they called upon the Commercial Photographers Network as they had previously used the network to photograph other jobs in different parts of the country…
Consistency is a key issue when it comes to the branding of a national company like Biffa, and this is one of the many reasons why the Commercial Photographers Network provides such a versatile solution to their location photography needs.
Local network members for Newcastle and the North East of England, Critical Tortoise, were called into action and dispatched on location to fulfil the client’s requirements.

The brief for this particular location photography assignment was to drive to as many iconic local landmarks in one day as possible and photograph the newest additions to their truck fleet, which included “Winston the Waste Eater”.

The weather didn’t exactly play ball on the afternoon of the shoot, but the show must go on. The rain called for the use of an umbrella and a few dramatic angles, including the use of a puddle to provide interesting reflections for one of the photographs.
Each member of the network knows their local area like the back of their hand and this turns out to be a great help with location photography jobs like this, saving the client time and ultimately money.

Despite the rain clouds, the job was delivered on time, on budget and Winston was returned back to HQ safely, ready for another day of waste munching.
